This morning, I went out for a short drive before work and while on the road, I thought to myself how nice it would be to see a Spotted hyena. But being nocturnal animals, they are obviously not often seen during daytime.
Excited what I would meet instead and just enjoying the area, I spotted something dark in the distance. It had the size of a hyena, walked like a hyena, and the gait was typical. It must be a hyena 😊
It was not bothered about my presence at all crossed the road right in front of me, said hello and trotted away and amazed by this rare sighting, I did the same.

One of the rare sights, together with the leopard, that we sadly was unable to see during our visit of Etosha. But the rarity is also what makes sights like yours so much more valuable as a memory. 🙂
