The first week of the Professional Field Guide Course is over. It was a very interesting week. All course participants met for the first time and we slowly got to know each other.
Everybody was quite excited about the course and we were all a bit disappointed that we started with the first aid course on a horse ranch. We wanted the bush, the wilderness, animals … but we had to wait a bit longer 🙂

During the first aid course we learnt a lot about the dangers that we might face in the bush. Andrew did an excellent job by introducing us to the human body and all kind of first aid procedures. He was a good teacher and did not get tired to tell us all kind of different stories about things that can happen: Snake- and spider bites, scorpion stings, being dragged out of the tent by a leopard (never leave the tent open when sleeping!), bitten by a lion, ran over by an elephant, and some other stories were on our agenda. I was surprised that all of us still wanted this adventure.
Good night,
Sininho
